Alberta Coaching Certification Course
April 13 @ 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
We had over 50 participants for two WAKO Canada Courses in Quebec last year. One was on Coaching and the other on Officiating. In both courses we learned a lot. I really like the chapter on concussions and athlete safety. It literally enlightened me and was a great experience.

The Board of WAKO Canada has been working with a number of Alberta clubs to involve the Western Provinces in the programs and competitions offered by our Association and to host more events in Alberta. The goal is also to involve more clubs and individuals into the leadership of our National Association.
There are a number of exciting plans underway including hosting a Western Canada Kickboxing Championship (Tatami and Ring Sport) and hosting an International Team event. The focus over the next year will be establishing government recognized PSOs (Provincial Sporting Organizations) and providing certification courses and training camps for coaches and all levels of participations.
To start off this effort WAKO Canada will be hosting a Level I Coaching Certification Course in Edmonton. This is the the second WAKO Canada Coaching Course being offered in Alberta within the last year.
