National Team ZOOM Camp
WAKO Canada is beginning preparations for the 2021 WAKO World Championship to be held October 14-24 in Italy. We are organizing 5 Camps to ensure that all Athletes are fully prepared for the Worlds. WAKO Canada is excited to welcome back ring sport competitions across the country! WAKO Alberta is gaining traction and is well on its way to Ministry of Sport (Alberta Sport Connection) recognition as our newest PSO. Successful meetings with the Ministry were held over the past year and WAKO Alberta is moving in the right direction! A strong group of officials is the hallmark of every sport association. WAKO Canada has held 3 Officials courses in Alberta over the past 3 years. Any person that participated in any of these courses is welcome to attend a refresher course on Sunday August 22nd. The refresher course will provide an review of the officiating role and provide some referee and judging practice. Coaching Application From March3rd – 6th 2022 over 3000 young Athletes, 500 Coaches from across Ontario will participate in the largest multisport event in Canada – the 2022 Ontario Winter Games (OWG). There are 27 sports involved in the 2022 OWG and we are excited that Kickboxing is a core sporting partner.
