Canada vs USA
WAKO Canada is sending a team of 5 premier senior athletes to face the WAKO USA team in Nashville Tennessee on September 30th 2017. The 5 man team will feature athletes Brandon Leaman (ROCK Athletics), Isabelle LaCroix (MAS Kickboxing), Teshay Grouthro (Muay Thai Niagara) and Adam Weber and Ross Mylet (BAAC). The event will be available on PPV by contacting WAKO USA.

WAKO Canada will be hosting a two day tournament for the following WAKO disciplines - K1, Low Kick, Kick Light - and for all categories- cadets, juniors, intermediates, seniors and veterans. The EAST vs WEST Qualifier Trials will also be used to select athletes for the Canada vs China II Show in 2018. Canada is sending 12 athletes to Zen Zhou China for a team event being organized by the WLF. Athletes are being selected from across Canada to be part of this competition. The Canadian team will also be part of a Canadian delegation that will tour the country for 10 day period visiting incredible historical and cultural sites including the Great Wall and the Shaolin Temple. WAKO Canada is proud to announce a partnership with Mr. Mike Palitti and the North Toronto Karate School to host the first Ontario Ministry of Sport sanctioned tatami kickboxing tournament. The tournament will have WAKO Canada divisions for point sparring, continuous sparring and forms/weapons. The 12th Annual Ontario Provincial Championship will be held December 9-10 at the PANAM Center in Markham, Ontario. The Championship will have all WAKO Disciplines including K1, Low Kick, Full Contact and Kick Light.
