SUMMER SMASH – Developmental Tournament

Dear Clubs,

We are excited for our next Ontario competition that will be happening on Saturday June 17th.  Details are below:

Date – Saturday June 17th

Location – Burlington Senior Center

Address – 2285 New Street, Burlington, ON, L7R 1J4

Registration/Weigh-ins – 9:00 am – 10:00 am

Rules meeting – 10:00 am

Competition begins – 10:15 am

Important Rules –

As this is a Development Series tournament the contact level will be strictly controlled. The level of contact for all bouts in all age categories will be 30%.  This will be explained in a rules meeting at 10 am.  All athletes must have their proper equipment – head gear, shin/instep equipment, mouth guards and athletic supporter.  WAKO Canada will provide gloves only.  Please ensure your equipment is in good condition and fits appropriately.

Spectators –

$30 per person / $20 children under 7 and seniors with ID

Important Information – there is a Music Festival occurring that weekend so the parking and driving will be very challenging.  Please make plans on arriving early so that you can obtain ample parking.

Volunteers – 

The Summer Smash will be staffed with volunteers that will ensure that the event runs smoothly.  Please ensure you follow their instruction and be respectful at all times.

Bout List and Progression

The 2023 Summer Smash bout order and results will be available for everyone to see right on their phone with a QR Code that can be scanned at the registration table and each ring.  This will make knowing when your athletes bout is scheduled very smooth and easy to determine.
