AGM – WAKO BC

WAKO Canada is excited to announce that our newest PSO (Provincial Sport Organization) has been approved by VIA Sport as an association to develop the sport of amateur kickboxing in the province of British Columbia.

After a few years of dedicated work both the BC Athletic Commission and VIA Sport have given the blessing for the work of WAKO BC to commence.

This is exciting news for all martial arts and combative clubs as WAKO has numerous sport kickboxing disciplines including –

Tatami – Point Sparring, Continuous Point, Forms, Weapons and Continuous Point with leg kicks

Ring – K1 Rules, Low Kick Rules, and Full Contact

The diversity of WAKO kickboxing allows for many participants of all ages to participate in our many tournaments and club shows and gain amazing competitive experience.

As WAKO BC is new this is an amazing time to get involved –

• Join our Provincial Board of Directors
• Become a Certified Official
• Sign up for the first provincial tournament

On Saturday May 6^th, we will be having the first WAKO BC Club Information session and Annual General Meeting.  The following day we will host our first Officials (Judges and Referee) Certification Course.  Both will be held at District Warrior:

This is the time to get involved so that our sport grows and we can provide west coast athletes more opportunities!
